I went to the movies the other day to watch “The secret life of Walter Mitty”, a movie mostly set and entirely filmed in Iceland. I was not sure if I should watch it, but the fact that the movie was set in Iceland made my decision easy. Normally this would not be worth a mention here on S&C, but:
“Was, schon wiiiiiiiiieder Kaffee?” (“Coffee agaaaain?”) – This or similar was my reaction as a child when my parents wanted to take a break in a coffee place during traveling. A popsicle on the run was enough to keep me going most of the time (outside meal hours) and there was always so much more to explore. So why take the time and sit down?
Sunday morning. Earlier this year. Germany. Medieval city gates. Cobbled Streets. Empty. Little runnels alongside. Used as water supply as early as in the 13th century. A city seeming asleep. Freiburg im Breisgau. Sunday morning.
