For me, Lebkuchen (similar to Gingerbread) belong to late fall and the Christmas season like advent calendar, advent Sundays and the Christmas tree. It seems that everyone – if not buying the store bought mix – has their own spice mix for Lebkuchen.
This is my version of it. Store it in an air tight container and it will keep well. Use it for Lebkuchen (stay tuned) or to add some Christmas spice to desserts. Alternatively you can put the spice mix in a nice glass, attach a recipe for Lebkuchen and it will make a little Christmas present from your kitchen.

LEBKUCHEN SPICE
Ingredients:
30 g cinnamon, ground
2 g (1 tsp) clove, ground
2 g (1 tsp) ginger, ground
2 g (1 tsp) coriander, ground
2 g (1 tsp) cardamom, ground
1 g (1/2 tsp) nutmeg, ground
2 g (1 tsp) anise, ground
small glas with lid
Preparation:
Combine all ingredients and fill into a glas with lid.

LEBKUCHENGEWÜRZ
Zutaten:
30 g Zimt, gemahlen
6 g (3 TL) Nelken, gemahlen
2 g (1 TL) Ingwer, gemahlen
2 g (1 TL) Koriander, gemahlen
2 g (1 TL) Kardamon, gemahlen
1 g (1/2 TL) Muskatnuss, gemahlen
2 g (1 TL) Anis, gemahlen
kleines verschliessbares Glas
Zubreitung:
Alle Zutaten vermengen und in ein verschliessbares Glas füllen.
